Jenison Public Schools
Director of Information Technology
Jenison, Michigan
I have just finished my 28th year in education. I a 22-year veteran of the high school math classroom before moving into my current role of Director of Information Technology for Jenison Public Schools in Michigan. I now lead my district in providing access to appropriate technology services that positively impact teaching and learning. My goal is to engage students in their own learning. An engaged student is a learning student.

I am a Discovery STAR educator and Leadership Council member, a five-time Discovery Educator Network Summer Institute (DENSI) attendee, and an Apple Academy attendee. I was named as the 2013 School Technologist of the Year by the Academy of Education Arts & Sciences. I am a member, former Board Member, and former Business Person of the Year award winner of the Grandville-Jenison Chamber of Commerce.

As a veteran presenter, I have spoken at the Wisconsin Career Conference, Michigan Career Conference, Michigan Marketing Educator's Conference, Michigan Joint Education Conference, Michigan Digital Learning Conference, iBooks Hackathon, EdCamps, MACUL Conferences since 1998, ICE Conferences, FETC Conferences, and ISTE.
