David Fisher began the 2014-2015 school year as a STEM Teacher and Learning Team Facilitator and is currently a Grade 4 Teacher at Whispering Pines Elementary School in Boca Raton, Florida. David recently completed a three-year School Improvement Grant funded position as the Technology Coordinator for a Title 1 elementary school in Palm Beach County, Florida implementing a one-to-one iPad program . With more than 20 years in the classroom, David has taught students in many of the elementary grades, including kindergarten, third, fifth, special education, graduate students, and has been a mentor teacher to many pre-service educators. An avid infuser of classroom technology, David has conducted many in-service and conference presentations on multiple ways to infuse technology in the classroom.

David continues to be a regular presenter at the School District of Palm Beach Technology Conference, FETC (Florida Educational Technology Conference), ICE in Chicageo, MACUL in Michigan, and at several Discovery Education VirtCons (virtual conferences) and Summer Institutes. Internationally, David was the 2012 Opening and Closing Keynote Speaker for Riding The Wave Of Change in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada.

David is a Discovery Educator Network (DEN) Star, DEN Guru, a member of the DENvisory Board, and host of The DEN Zone, an online radio program for the DEN and educator community. In addition to his work and involvement with Discovery Education, David is a Symbaloo Certified Educator and a member of several educator communities on Twitter, Facebook, Edmodo, Google+, and Linked In.
